Friends of Dore Abbey raise funds for restoration of the ancient building, to keep it open as a Parish Church and to provide a wonderful venue for the local and county community and visitors to enjoy a wide range of music and drama. We encourage Herefordshire schools to perform music in the Abbey and to visit for historical interest. We provide guided tours and publicise as a focal point of interest for tourism. The building is of great historical, architectural and archaeological importance and has much wood carving, stone carving, wall paintings and stained glass.
