Description

Scouting works towards three aims for the boys and girls and when they are older:-

One is growth in moral strength and character.

We may define this as what the young people are themselves, their personal qualities, their values, and their outlook.

A second is participating citizenship.

Used Broadly, citizenship means the young people's relationship to others. They come to learn obligations to other people, to the society they live in and to the government that presides over that society.

A third aim of Scouting is devlopment of physical, metal, and emotional fitness.

Fitness includes the body (well-tuned and healthy), the mind (able to think and solve problems), and the emotions (self-control, courage, and self-respect).
